I’ve been making high quality Windsor chairs for over 20 years. Turning the parts from greenwood on a traditional pole lathe and finishing the chairs to my clients specific requirements. I take the lathe into schools and colleges and demonstrate the craft around the country. I create living willow structures for schools and private individuals and run participatory arts workshops through the Arts Council and People Express. I run a centre for teaching traditional crafts. This centre, Greenwood Days has been running activities for individuals and companies since 2000, organising courses, 1-1 tutorials and structured teambuilding days. We offer a great treat for a special occasion, a fantastic way to increase your skill level, or provide a fun and positive event for your clients.

Public courses range from chair making to contemporary willow work, longbow making to coracle making and last from 1-7 days.Corporate clients can access a range of set activities or bespoke events tailored to specific aims and goals.

All these experiences are supported by highly skilled experts in their field, working to include everybody in a relaxing and inspirational way, delivering a fantastic experience for you as an individual or with larger groups of people.

Set in a beautiful 100 acre wood in the growing National Forest the centre promotes woodland and greenwood crafts through traditional and contemporary activities.

Greenwood Days is environmentally low impact, supporting local producers and crafts people to provide unforgettable days for you. The great food and course materials are sourced locally wherever possible.
