Wrongs Covert is a working farm woodland. Each year we harvest Hazel poles, bean poles and pea sticks for sale to fund the restoration and management of the woodland. It is not a large commercial coppice, we harvest on a mosaic system. Under a selective felling licence, we also thin hardwoods, mainly Ash and Alder which we process in our sawmill, providing high quality beams and planks of unusual sizes for building restoration and other creative projects.
We are a small group of Coppicers, Greenwood Workers and Educators. We run courses and workshops for young people not in mainstream education, and other groups and individuals interested in learning about the environment, ecology and the importance of balance in these things.
